It is expected of all Scrapping from the Heart members, whether on the Board of Directors or a volunteer, that they conduct themselves in a professional manner. Although our final goal is to provide a day of enjoyment to all who attend our events as well as our members, we are still part of a business organization. When meeting with the directors of other organizations, asking donations in person or via phone or e-mail, posting flyers, or any activity where you are representing Scrapping from the Heart, proper behavior is a must. Below is our Code of Conduct and everyone is expected to abide by this Code. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the organization.

1.      As stated above, professional behavior is expected of all members.     Be prepared to provide any information requested of you and answer any questions by making sure you have all the information you need to conduct yourself in a professional manner.

2.      We are all given specific jobs to do to assist in organizing the events. Unless otherwise asked to do so, do not cross over into other organizational duties.

3.      It is expected that everyone attend any and all meetings held in preparation for an event. These events are held twice a year and knowing this should allow you to set aside the time needed to do so. In addition, your duties or tasks are expected to be completed within any time frame you are given.

4.      The Board of Directors for Scrapping from the Heart will practice an open-door policy. Please bring any issues of discontent or problems with another member directly to the Member at Large or to a Board Member. Not doing so and talking amongst other members instead of directly to the Board serves no purpose than to perpetuate the discontent. We are open to discussing all suggestions, ideas, problems, etc. and finding a solution if at all possible.

Thank you,

Board of Directors
